New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau has been selected as the NHLs Rookie of the Month for December, the league announced Friday. Gaudreau topped all rookies with eight goals and 13 points in 14 December games, highlighted by his first career hat trick in Calgarys 4-3 come-from- behind win over reigning Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles on Dec. 22. The 21-year-old became the youngest Flames player to record a hat trick since Hall of Famer Joe Nieuwendyk on Dec. 28, 1987. Nashville forward Filip Forsberg, Novembers Rookie of the Month, also was considered for the December award along with Winnipeg goaltender Michael Hutchinson, Florida defenseman Aaron Ekblad, Ottawa forward Mike Hoffman and Chicago goalie Antti Raanta. DJ Moore Jersey . Andrews, Scotland - Oliver Wilson fired a final- round, 2-under 70 on Sunday and he held on to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship by one shot. Jarius Wright Jersey . Next week, hell try to add to the list. A Stanley Cup champion as a rookie, Seguin followed that up by becoming the youngest player to lead the Boston Bruins in scoring. http://www.footballpanthersstore.us/Black-Friday-Da-Norris-Searcy-Jersey/ .Y. -- The Montreal Canadiens have had few reasons to celebrate this season as they have been mired near the basement of the Eastern Conference. Dontari Poe Jersey . Not to be outdone, Atletico Madrid bettered its title rivals by demolishing 10-man Getafe 7-0 with Diego Costa returning from injury to score with a brilliant bicycle kick. "It was an almost perfect night," Atletico coach Diego Simeone said. Torrey Smith Jersey . The 20-year-old Pelicans big man glanced up and smiled widely at the well-wishers -- a fitting end to a day he wont soon forget. Davis responded to his selection earlier in the day as a Western Conference All-Star with 26 points and 10 rebounds, and the New Orleans Pelicans overcame a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 98-91 on Friday night. The Falcons were flying against the Saints, the Vikings have another playmaker, rookie runners and receivers make an immediate impact and New Englands offence sputters in Miami; all this and more in Scott Cullens 20 Points on Week One. 1. Falcons QB Matt Ryan had to be happy to have his full complement of receivers back, throwing for 448 yards (31-for-43) with three touchdowns. Sure, its nice to have Julio Jones (7 REC, 116 YDS) and Roddy White (5 REC, 72 YDS, 1 TD), but how about Devin Hester? The veteran return specialist had five catches for 99 yards, the second-most receiving yards in a game for his career. 2. Second-year Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson was a popular breakout candidate coming into the year, but he busted for a 67-yard touchdown run against St. Louis, giving him 128 yards on six touches. Another breakout candidate? Steelers WR Markus Wheaton, who had a fine showing (6 REC, 97 YDS, 7 targets) against Cleveland. 3. Browns RB Ben Tate gained 41 yards on six carries against Pittsburgh before leaving with a knee injury. Rookie Terrance West rolled into the Cleveland lineup and rushed for 100 yards on 16 carries and West wasnt the only rookie runner to make his mark. 49ers rookie RB Carlos Hyde gained 50 yards and scored a touchdown on seven carries at Dallas. 4. Rookie receivers made an immediate impact: Saints WR Brandin Cooks (95 YDS, 1 TD, eight touches), Panthers WR Kelvin Benjamin (92 YDS, 1 TD, six catches), Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (5 REC, 37 YDS, 9 targets). Jaguars rookie WR Allen Hurns had quite a debut (4 REC, 110 YDS, 1 TD, 9 targets) against Philadelphia. An undrafted free agent out of Miami, Hurns had a big senior season (62 REC, 1,162 YDS, 6 TD) and was Jacksonvilles top receiver in the preseason. Fellow rookie Marqise Lee had six catches for 62 yards on 10 targes, both rookies taking advantage of bigger opportunities available in the absence of veteran Cecil Shorts, who was out due to a hamstring injury. Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (4 REC, 97 YDS, 1 TD, 10 targets) had a strong showing in his first game after missing the entire 2013 season. 5. While Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski had four catches for 40 yards and a touchdown against the Dolphins, four catches on 11 targets was not nearly efficient enough. Even going back to last season (and this may be a function of a mediocre group of wide receivers), there were times that QB Tom Brady relied too heavily on Gronkowski when he was in the lineup. Patriots WR Kenbrell Thompkins (5 REC, 37 YDS) ranked second on the team with 10 targets, behind only Gronkowski. 6. Steelers RB LeVeon Bell got the negative pub for his pot arrest in training camp, but it didnt seem to hamper his on-field performance. Bell (197 YDS, 1 TD, 27 touches) rumbled over the Cleveland defence while backup LeGarrette Blount, who scored a touchdown, was limited to six yards on four carries. 7. The New York Jets gave Chris Ivory (102 YDS, 1 TD, 10 carries) a big role alongside Chris Johnson (91 YDS, 1 TD, 18 touches) in the backfield. If Ivory is going to keep getting those touches, that could limit Johnsons upside. 8. Saints RB Mark Ingram had a productive game (61 YDS, 2 TD, 14 touches), as one of three in the New Orleans backfield, along with Pierre Thomas (89 YDS, 13 touches) and Khiry Robinson (28 YDS, 1 TD, six carries). 9. Buccaneers RB Doug Martin was locked up (9 YDS, 9 carries) by the Panthers defence, missing time with a knee injury..dddddddddddd. Bobby Rainey, who had 20 yards on six touches, was the No. 2 back for the Bucs Sunday. 10. With Ravens QB Joe Flacco attempting 62 passes, that included 15 targets each for Steve Smith (7 REC, 118 YDS, 1 TD) and TE Dennis Pitta (10 REC, 83 YDS). 11. With his quarterback struggling, Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray had a strong day (143 YDS, 1 TD, 25 touches) in a losing effort against a San Francisco defence that isnt necessarily easy pickings in the running game. 12. Broncos TE Julius Thomas is making a case to rise up among the leagues elite at tight end. Thomas had seven catches for 104 yards and three touchdowns against Indianapolis. 13. Leaving Denver didnt seem to present too many problems for Dolphins RB Knowshon Moreno (134 YDS, 1 TD, 24 carries) against New England, though he wasnt used (zero targets) in the Miami passing game. 14. Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles was held to just 19 yards on seven carries against the Titans. 15. Rams rookie QB Austin Davis was pressed into action for Shaun Hill, who left with a thigh injury. Somewhat surprisingly, WR Brian Quick was the Rams top receiver (7 REC, 99 YDS, 9 targets) against Minnesota. 16. With Washington TE Jordan Reed knocked out of Week One action with a hamstring injury, Niles Paul had four catches for 86 yards at Houston. Other injuries: Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney suffered a torn meniscus which could keep him out 4-6 weeks. Bengals TE Tyler Eifert has a dislocated elbow which could result in at least a couple of months on IR. Bengals OLB Vontaze Burfict had a concussion against Baltimore, Chiefs OLB Derrick Johnson is done for the year with a torn Achilles, Buccaneers G Logan Mankins injured his knee, but may not miss too much time; Jaguars S Johnathan Cyprien left Sundays game against Philadelphia with a head injury. 17. Rookie Raiders QB Derek Carr (20-for-32, 151 YDS, 2 TD) didnt exactly air it out against the Jets, but had a respectable enough showing in his first NFL start. A shame about the Oakland running game, in which Maurice Jones-Drew and Darren McFadden combined for 26 rushing yards on 13 carries. 18. With Ray Rice suspended, Baltimore allocated their backfield workload in favour of Justin Forsett (84 YDS, 1 TD, 16 touches), ahead of Bernard Pierce (14 YDS, six carries). Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (85 YDS, eight touches) was more productive than Trent Richardson (51 yards on nine touches) against the Broncos. That wont be the last time that happens. 19. Some notable healthy inactives: Washington WR Santana Moss, Patriots WR Aaron Dobson, Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman 20. Raiders OLB Sio Moore (13 total tackles, one sack), Patriots ILB Jerod Mayo (12 tackles, 1 sack, 1 FR), Falcons LB Paul Worrilow (15 total tackles), Chiefs FS Eric Berry (15 total tackles), Bengals OLB Emmanuel Lamur (11 tackles, 1 INT), Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner (14 tackles), Bills CB Leodis McKelvin (13 tackles), Browns SS Donte Whitner (13 total tackles), Raiders OLB Miles Burris (13 total tackles), Titans CB Jason McCourty (three tackles, two INT), Panthers CB Antoine Cason (9 tackles, 1 INT), Vikings SS Harrison Smith (2 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT for TD).
